Cosmoprof Las Vegas 2026 Trends

Our team is finally back from our annual desert romp to Cosmoprof Las Vegas. Once again, the show did not disappoint. While you'd need an entire week to see it in full, we're here to distill the show into the top trends for 2026. Here's your TL;DR on body, skin, and hair. Let's get into it:

Scalp-Focused Care

Hair care has risen from a niche category to a mainstream category in the beauty space. At Cosmoprof, scalp care was leading innovation in this space. Some of the top claims we saw in scalp care were hair longevity, sensorial textures, and active-ingredient stories. Scalp-specific products used to appear only as clinical solutions; now brands are differentiating themselves with luxurious, functional fragrances, innovative textures, and additional benefits that treat the cause rather than the symptom. Top consumers' concerns are reducing hair thinning and shedding, smoothing frizz, soothing dandruff, and scalp irritation. Scalp care is a lot like skincare and is beginning to borrow similar ingredient stories to address consumer concerns. This means brands that previously didn't offer hair care solutions can offer scalp-focused products as an extension of their skincare lines.

Hair Styling

At Cosmoprof, the buzz around hair care didn't end at the scalp. A 2026 Mintel study reveals that 43% of global consumers regularly use multiple hair-styling products, making customized regimens the new standard. We've also seen #HairProtection rack up an average of 1.3 million monthly views on TikTok.  While styling products are nothing new in the hair-care aisle, the real innovation at this year's show was the focus on increased hair strength, moisture, and elasticity. While hair strands are built to stretch up to 30% of their length, common styling practices can compromise their integrity over time, leading to breakage and irritation. Mintel also noted that consumers are starting to use treatment sprays not just for heat styling but also to protect against styling damage, environmental stressors, and to smooth frizz. Innovation for these marketing stories is led by hydrolyzed plant proteins, copper peptides, and botanical extracts.

Skin Longevity

Per Mintel, the top three drivers of skincare purchases are multifunctional solutions, modern formulations, and additional skincare benefits. Cosmoprof '26 reflected this stat in troves, as booth after booth showcased collagen-boosting ingredients and NAD+-enriched formulas. Now that proactive "longevity" claims have successfully overtaken reactive "anti-aging" claims, consumers are becoming well-versed in ingredients that work with your body to naturally produce collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, rather than simply applying topically.

UV Protection

SPF has become integral not only to consumers' routines but also to their anti-aging regimens. Per Mintel's 2026 sun care innovation report, 61% of US adults use SPF to address skin concerns beyond sun protection. At Cosmoprof, we saw UV filters (some SUPER new to the US market)  enter many new wearable textures with reparative and longevity claims. Skin-repairing claims, paired with soothing botanicals and cellular-repair enzymes, are driving innovation in multifunctional SPF products. Textures of note in this category include lightweight serums, cica-infused hot pours, gel with matte finish, and UV capsule technology.

At Twincraft, our Product Innovation Team saw these trends coming, and we got to work. Here are a few of our concepts that we debuted at this year's show:

Reset Shampoo

Format: Clarifying Shampoo

Notes: Using a blend of plant extracts, biotin, panthenol, and menthol, this shampoo rebalances scalp sebum while providing a deep cleanse. Best for all hair types as a weekly treatment, better at a higher frequency for type 1-2 hair or for those who use hair styling products more often.

Hair Protection Mist

Format: Heat Protectant Styling Spray

Notes: With the power of hydrolyzed pea protein and conditioning film formers, this spray provides heat protection (up to 450 degrees)  and enhances the elasticity and strength of the hair strands. With a lightweight, hydrating formula, the Hair Protection Mist is a perfect treatment for everyday use.

Shaving Foam

Format: Non-Aerosol Shaving Cream

Notes: Beginning as a moisture-dense cream, with water, the Shaving Foam explodes into a thick, stable, dense foam that acts like traditional shaving cream without silicones or the residue they leave behind. This formula includes a next-gen hyaluronic acid that shows incredible hydrating effects even after rinse-off. We've paired an innovative texture with post-shave actives to promote skin healing and radiance.

Oat Milk Shave Bar

Format: Shaving Cream Bar Soap

Notes: A bar soap that foams up into dense, stable suds that mimic traditional shave products with a more eco-friendly format. With a co-extrusion aesthetic reminiscent of an oat milk latte, this simple formula tells a soothing oat story, replenishing post-shave skin.

Calming Body Serum

Format: Lightweight, Ultra-Hydrating Body Serum

Notes: This silky, lightweight serum absorbs easily on the skin. Reishi extracts soothe the skin, and red seaweed extract acts as a slow-release water reservoir, providing long-term hydration. This concept holds fragrance and shimmer well for added effects.
