Twincraft Soap Offers Breakthrough Delivery System in Bar Soap

WINOOSKI, VT – Twincraft Soap Company is the first and only bar soap manufacturer to offer Delivery System technology in a bar soap.

“Our Delivery System transforms bar soap into high-end treatment systems. They work by delivering active ingredients to the skin that do not wash off,” said Joe Candido, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. “It takes bar soap to a whole new level—it satisfies the market demand for soaps that produce cosmetic and drug-related benefits.”

As a result of the Delivery System, active ingredients don’t rinse off but actually adhere to the skin’s surface. The active ingredients are activated by water, pH, heat and/or pressure. Depending on the active, bar soaps with Delivery System can combat acne, improve skin’s elasticity (reduce wrinkles), reduce cellulite or brighten skin’s appearance.

A Laboratory study of the Delivery System releasing Salicylic Acid proved the effectiveness of the Sal Acid is strongly enhanced in the presence of Twincraft’s Delivery System. The Delivery System travels into hair follicles depositing the Salicylic Acid directly where it’s needed to dissolve deposited oils and dirt and clear clogged pores. Consumer study results found bar soaps with 2% Salicylic Acid and Delivery System reduced the blemishes of testers with severe acne by 67%. A bar soap with .5% Salicylic Acid and Delivery System reduced the blemish count by 54%.

“There’s a controlled release and a dramatic increase in the amount of Salicylic Acid left on the skin when Twincraft’s Delivery System is used compared to when it’s not,” said Curt Durfee, Director of Research and Development. “The possibilities for this technology are limitless.  We’re working on a tanning bar, a bar with spf and a bar with extended fragrance. Delivery System gives soap a whole new level of sophistication.”

The technology is a result of Twincraft’s development work with Salvona Technologies. Twincraft is the exclusive provider of this technology. Twincraft’s proprietary Delivery Systems have been incorporated in several new products from the biggest market leaders in the HBA sector. Launches will occur throughout 2007 and into 2008.
